Default Honda Civic Si 2004 Inner Tie Rods

I have been trying to get these front tie rods out for a few days now on my 2004 Honda Civic Si.

I tried a tie rod removing tool but the rack and pinion is too close to the locking bolt to do get a grip. I have tried a crows foot wrench but it is still not working. What can I do?

Basically the rack and pinion is too close to the tie rod to do anything. Am I Able to turn my steering wheel to make them come out further so that my tie rod removing tool can grip it?

My redneck comes out in this situation. I use vice grips that i have welded a bar too for leverage. Its welded at an angle specificaly for doing these tie rods...

Cant be called stupid if it works
