i have a question i got axles from an 2000 Acura EL collecting dust and i'm just wondering if they will fit my 1991 Civic EF hatchback?

Thank you for your input really appreciate it. I know that the length is different by 2mm according to the mechanic shop I talk to they told me it should be okay to use but I don't trust "should" which is why I was asking thanks again
