99 Accord P1361 troubleshoot
HELLO ALL I HAVE A 99 ACCORD WHICH HAD AN ISSUE WITH DTC P1607 SHOWING PCM INTERNAL ERROR. I HAVE DIAGNOSED THIS PROBLEM TO BE THE PCM WAS BURNT. I HAVE FOUND AND PURCHASED A REPLACEMENT PCM WITH AN IMMOBILIZER IN ORDER TO AVOID HAVING TO TAKE TO DEALER FOR PROGRAMMING. I HAVE REPLACED THE PCM AND NOW AM HAVING A P1361 CODE TDC SENSOR INTERMITTENT FAILURE. I HAVE RAN MULTIPLE DIAGNOSES REGARDING THIS CODE AND AM COMING TO A HOLD. WHEN MEASURING THE VOLTAGE INSIDE THE VEHICLE AT PCM C31 CONNECTOR I AM NOT SHOWING ANY OHM READING. PER DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE IT SAYS TO CHECK BACK AT THE TDC SENSOR FOR ANY OPENING/BROKEN WIRES, I HAVE PULLED THE TIMING COVERS, AND SEARCHED THE SENSORS AND NOW VISUALLY SEEING ANY OPENING. I HAVE NAVIGATED MULTIPLE FORUMS AND DIAG PROCEDURES AND NOTHING SEEM TO BE CORRECT. THE VEHICLE HAS A NEW TIMING BELT, DISTRIBUTOR IS NEW, PCM RECENTLY REPLACED AND MANY MORE OTHER PARTS ARE UP TO DATE WITH THIS VEHICLE. DOES ANY ONYONE ON HERE HAVE ANY HELPFUL INFO THAT CAN LEAD ME TO SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. I AM ABOUT TO REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFT/CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR, HOWEVER DO NOT KNOW WHETHER THIS WILL CORRECT THIS ISSUE.THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELPFUL INFO THAT'S PROVIDED.
The reason you're getting little replies is because of the caps lock being on when you made your post.
The tdc sensor is located within the crankshaft sensor assembly behind the timing belt. It would be wise to pull the timing belt and pull the sensor. Inspect it for dirt/grime. Replace it. Clean both the crank timing pulley and the front balance shaft pulley completely of all debris. Then test from the crank sensor and tdc sensor all the way back to their corresponding pins at the ecu to make sure there are no wiring issues.

Thank you for your reply and suggestion with my caps locks being on, I will change this going forward. I have checked the sensor for resistance however I believe that I'm getting a false reading on the cam sensor, both the sensors are reading the same telling me that one of the sensors is probably shorted out. I have check the end on the ECU and am getting no power there. I have followed numerous diagrams and diagnostic procedures and am coming down to the determination that the sensor may be the issue. I am picking up the sensor today hopefully this may be the correction. All other power seems to be working fine, I have checked all wiring for any opens and I have not come around any open wires. Have check for any loose grounds and nothing showing to be loose. Went as far as testing the power to the main relay and that is receiving proper power.
