Whiring/Scrapping sound coming from 91 EF Passenger Wheel Well
So about a month and a bit ago my car started making this sort of scrapping/whirring noise coming from the passenger wheel well. At first I thought it was brake pads, but after I replaced them the sound continued. So next I checked the wheel bearing, that seemed fine, checked to see if the dust guard was scrapping, nope. I can't seem to figure out what the sound is. Everything looks and feels fine but it makes this terrible sound. It only occurs when going over 15kph and does not go away when braking. Along with that the sound speeds up with the speed of the car. Just wondering what you guys think it may be. Caliper? Rotor? Hub? The car is a 1991 Civic Si Hatch with a b16a4 swap. I have also included a video of the sound.
I'm thinking it's maybe a wheel barring that needs to be replaced.
Jack up the front of the car, loosen the lug nuts, and see if the
tire/wheel has a lot of play.. push and pull on the top of the tire
and see if it wiggles quite a bit.. if so, replace your barrings...
had the same thing happen in my 07 VW MK5

there shouldnt be ANY play in bearings... but how are you checking? you did a spin test with the wheel off the ground? do you feel the roughness then?
kicking the top of the wheel or at the 3 and 9 isnt a test of the wheel bearing. or at least a good one. its more of a test of the balljoints.

is there a rock stuck in your brake pad? or the sliding pin stuck?
Just going off the easy stuff, I think it might be an axle or a wheel bearing.
Does it make odd noises at low speeds full lock left?
