Hey guys, I've just purchased a JDM Accord Euro-R produced in 2001, Everything looks great but there's something missing. These are the seals that sit around the headlights!
These rubbers/seals make contact to the chassis and make a good fit but without them it looks like they are misplaced or aftermarket ones, so not good at all. My question is if there is anyone who also owns a CL1 or knows the part number for these new seals to be able tracing these.
I've added a picture of the CL1 headlights as example;
Headlight Accord CL1 (leftside). This one is also missing the seal/rubber around its housing
In all honesty, I doubt there is a part number for that. If there is, most people here won't know either, since the CL1 never made it to the US. Your best bet will be to hit up the local hardware store, and see if there is some kind of weather stripping they sell that could be made to fit. Good luck with the search. Bad side to older cars, when the rubber starts falling part/falling off, it can be a paint to replace and sometimes you gotta get creative.
P.S. Since you have a Euro R, I actually have a few questions for you, and will shoot you a pm.
Thank you for your reply 1996accordlx. Yes im afraid I would have to get creative if the previous owner told me last week he still had them in his cupboard! Thank god, saves some headache on this one
So problem solved
Also I have checked my pm's but havent seen any messages from you
