Default 2004 crv P1077 after motor swap

got an 04 crv with a k24a1 that had a cracked block. Swapped it for a imported motor from Japan. I believe is a k24a. Some stuff naturally was different with the new motor. Throttle body only used one cable, exhaust manifold different, crank sensor different, ax compressor different, etc. The IMRC on the Japan motor did not use a position sensor. So I swapped the unit from the old motor into the Japan intake manifold. Motor seems to run and idle normal, but I get a p1077 that doesn't want to clear. Will pop up as a pending code until I shut off and restart the code, then kicks the light on. The Japan unit looks the same, minus the position sensor. Do I need to reset the pcm for some reason? Or maybe use the original intake manifold with the original IMRC unit? Had no issues with this before the swap.
