Icon4 94 Accord R-O-H Conversion... Fail.

So I decided to ditch my hub-over-rotor setup for the Acura 2.3 CL parts.

However I can NOT find the hubs anywhere, so i went to the junkyard and came home to remove the old bearings and that all went fine.

Oh except for the part where the hubs are from a 3.0CL instead of the 2.3CL and therefore won't fit my new bearings. *facepalm*
The junkyard had them only listed as "CL", the car i took them from had no engine nor badges. So #itsNotMyFaultGuys however it was only 22 bucks for both of them, rotors, hubs, and bearings.
Also i already got the 3.0CL rotors turned (part number 45251-S84-G00), when i need the 2.3CL rotors (part number 45251-S84-A01). These (from Brembo's info site) seem to be mostly compatible except that the 3.0CL rotors are 6mm farther in than the 2.3CL (hub out to wheel) and 22mm larger in outside diameter.

Ok I did some research, and I COULD use the 3.0CL rotors that i have if i installed the calipers / caliper brackets. However i still would need a 2.3CL for the hub.
So I am planning to ditch the 3.0CL stuff entirely, and just find a 2.3 hub and buy the rotors at AutoZone (Brembos @ 39.99).

Any help would be appreciated.

I used the knuckles, hubs, calipers and brackets from the 95-98 Odyssey. I would think you could do the same with the CL.

Oh? Didn't know the 3.0 CL shared its brakes with other vehicles.

I am not able to find ANY 2.3 CL hubs locally, everything is 3.0 CL, perhaps I should return my wheel bearings and get new knuckles / calipers / caliper brackets...
Do I need new pads?

The 5th Gen Accord and the Acura CL up to 99 are basically the same car. The simple thing would be to remove the entire knuckle and change them over. The extra diameter of the front brakes are no problem and, for me, were as good thing since that is what I wanted. I guess you want to keep the 4-lug wheels, so using Odyssey parts would be using 5-lug hubsand that is out. The Odyssey and the Gen 5 V6 use the same knuckle, just that Odyssey is HOR and the V6 is ROH. And the Odyssey is 5-lug. If you can find the CL 3.0 parts in good condition then a complete change-over would be simple.

I managed to find 2.3 CL hubs at the last second today. They were 50 USD each. Came with the whole knuckle / bearing / hubs.

I already got it installed on my car and am just waiting on the rotors. Thinking Brembo from AutoZone 40 USD...

Thanks for the help though! I got lucky this time :/

I just put 6th gen knuckles on my accord back in the day, it created slightly positive camber, which was fine because i was 2 degrees negative at the time.

One time I put a Gen 5 knuckle and a Gen 6 one side by side on the kitchen table and measured them every way I could. They seemed the same with the exception of how the brake lines are mounted. I thought that they might interchange. I never got around to trying it.

There was some sort of slight difference in either an angle or length somewhere enough that it corrected about a degree of negative camber. It was bolt on other wise, and with prelude 4th gen 11 inch rotors and the wagon calipers (car was a wagon) it was a perfect fit and made life much easier.

Ok. lots of conflicting info I have the entire knuckle and hub and rotors and calipers from a 99 CL.3.0. So can anyone tell me, will these swap over completely into my 1996 Accord wagon or no?
