clutch knocking
I have a 95 civic ex front wheel drive manual transmission. I replaced the clutch throughout bearing pilot bearing slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. as soon as I start the car now it starts knocking immediately and loudly from the transmission. Any ideas on what it could be????

Sounds like your throw out bearing isn't sitting on the shaft right and when pressure is applied to it then it stops moving around. Unless your input shaft bearing miraculously went out. That's what is sounds like to me. I know in other applications besides Hondas if it comes off the clips then it'll just bounce around on the shaft then when pressed it has no choice but to expand then it cant bounce around. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

do you think the fork could be too worn for the throughout bearing to latch onto????

well it sure wouldn't hurt since you already have to take the transmission out again. I haven't seen a honda throwout bearing fork for a while. But after looking back that would make the throwout bearing screwy. So ya go ahead and replace the fork make sure its on there good and make sure the clutch is nice and aligned again. Put some grease on the shaft of the transmission so some of it gets on the pilot bearing. Then slide the transmission in and make sure the throwout bearing doesn't come off the fork and you'll be all good.
