Default I may be in over my head with this build

Okay, so I almost have my LSVtec motor completely built, working on finding a transmission for it now. Was planning on putting it into my EG sedan but then found a great deal on a 91 CRX Dx. Only problem here is I need to convert from DPFI to MPFI, add vtec and iab wires, I would like to wire tuck while im dealing with all that, I also need to do whatever wiring conversion is needed for auto to manual. All the guides I have found are so old that the pictures dont load and this is also my first shell to car build and first swap ever so go easy on me with the "google it". Thanks in advance for any help, really just want to know if you know of any good guides and or know what order i should be working on all the changes on.

You don't need pics just read and folllow directions , get a pin out , solder gun , hear shrink , and go to town it seems intimidating but it's really simple , you only wiring in 4 wires on the injectors (2 injectors and two grounds ) the other injectors go to the existing 2 injector wires , you repin the dizzy and add two wires there , vtec is 3 wires , you have to extend the IAT WIRES and whatever obd alt you use you have to wire in that plug , really nothing else to it , I'd assume you have a jumper for the ecu , and if you want you can buy a jumper for t the dizzy knocking you down to just injectors and vtec and 02 , if you can build a lsv you can wire a dpfi to mpfi

Thanks for the quick response man, What im really worried about is tucking the wires while adding all those wires to it! The tuck is what I really want pics for because I dont want to spend $500 on a tuck kit when everyone says you can make your own for $50 and some time

I would get it running and do the tuck later.
Much easier to troubleshoot.

+1

if you're not confident in this then do one thing at a time. just doing a swap is likely to require some troubleshooting when you try firing it up, and speaking from experience you dont want to make things even more confusing just yet

maybe get a manual because i dont really know how much extra wiring is under the dash for auto(correct me if im wrong) and for the harness i think you can buy a ef si harness and you should be butter. easier that a mpfi conversion.

Honestly for this situation I would say get yourself a harness from a B series VTEC 5 speed car like Integra GSR, Civic Si etc and run with that. Typically I always recommend using the harness that came with the car;but since you want to tuck and convert a bunch of stuff it would be easier in this particular case to use a different harness. If you have the money places like Rywire make awesome harness and stuff especially for a tuck job. OEM from a VTEC 5 speed car will work fine too though. What I would do is remove the old harness/ecu components from the CRX, stretch your new harness out and delete anything you don't want to clean it up. This will make it easier to install and make the ruck more effective. (For example if your running widebands, remove the O2 harness(es), if your not running a knock sensor, delete knock sensor harness, etc) After this go ahead and install the new harness into the car, tucking and hiding everything as you see fit. You can also tuck things like fuel lines, clutch line etc at this time if you wish. Then I would drop in my engine/trans, bolt up all the mounts, then connect everything from the new harness to the new engine. After this tour ready to prime the engine and if all is good fire her up! good luck.
