Here is the wire that it is spliced into.

What is it? What doe's it do? Should I be concerned? Thanks.

 

10Kohm Potentiometer.

I've no idea what it was used for. What pin(s) was it going into and what car/ECU?

 

I can tell you this... With only one wire going to it, it's not doing a damn thing.

I have no idea how to read pin placement so I grabbed another picture. Also the car is a 97 civic dx with a 98 b20b and a pr4 ecu. It gives me issues at idle so I was wondering if this could be part of it. It's the blue striped orange wire.
