WOW was this a trip, but it was FUN AS HELL! it took us 2 hours to take the engine out
But after we got it out we had some slight set-backs, Pizza,
, and the usual Oil Pump mis-matching. We finally got it in and running at about 12:30a.m. So all together a block swap with 8 people took 14 hours. hmmmmmmm this seems a little long?

Kyle how is it working? Did the heat start to work and everything or are we gonna have to go back in there and look at the Thermostat and all that?

Lets count 'em,
Yeah, Kyle said the heat actually started working as soon as he started turning his car around in the driveway.

Had a GREAT time and can't wait to do my swap in 2 weeks LOL
Congrats on getting it in Kyle, I know of all the OH people I can call when I am ready to swap in the next few months.

Count me in. Swaps are easy

............But we had FUN, tons of laughs .... and even "Eminem" showed up!
(ha ha ha, Nick !)
I'm going to upload some "Quicktime" videos in a few ..... I'll post URL later to downlad......
First of all, THANKS to everyone who helped out. I don't know everyone's HT name, so I'll just leave it at everyone.
Car made it home in one piece. The heat started working as soon as the car started rolling??? I am not sure why it took that long for it to, but that is what happened.
A few problems (or maybe I am just paranoid):
1. Valve cover is HOT as ****! I never really checked how hot it got before the swap though, so I am not sure if it is a big problem or not. I could touch it, but had to take my hand off right away.
2. Whole bunch of **** rattling and thumping around. I think either the alternator, AC or power steering is not bolted down tight enough. I am going to try to find out where all those extra bolts and nuts go today
3. Driver side rotor is rubbing on something. Easy fix just have to go look at it.
What happened to the track? I left cause it was raining and I didn't want all that **** sitting in my car all day and night. If you all ended up going, I am gonna be pissed.
Again, thanks to everyone who helped.

Easy solution:
Strip the AC and PS and there are half your problems
We didnt end up going to the track. I woke up around 10 and the ground was wet and on and off drizzle.
Nice meeting you Kyle

Jon and I decided the damn oil pump set us back about 2-3 hours because of the mental ramifications. FUGGIN OIL PUMP....

Nick and I didn't go, but he did find Norwalk has a T&T next Sunday.
And the weather forecast, though 7 days away, 0% chance of rain.
The added heat in the valve cover may have to do with the higher compression.
Or not. Good to know it still works.
Maybe time to put in a real temp. gauge.
And the heater completely baffles me.
Watch it, watch the gauge slowly,
watch it, there it goes, did you see that,
the heat cause by the thermal dynamics,
and the increased compression, watch it,
there it goes, its rising, watch it....
