Default 2002 Honda Accord SE Green Key Light

I am new to Honda-Tech and I apologize if there is a separate thread that covers the same situation. My car began not starting occasionally, and then stopped for good. It just clicks over and does not do anything. The green key light is solid when I first turn the key over and then disappears after a couple seconds. When I turn the key back it flashes about 4 or five times and turns off. I have checked the appropriate fuse which is good and my battery is in good shape and charged. I was thinking that I could either use a new key or there is an issue with my immobilizer. If it is the immobilizer then I would need instructions on troubleshooting the problem. Can anyone help?

I only have one key. I wanted to see if there was any trouble shooting I could do before I started spending money. Should the next step be getting a new key and seeing how it responds?
