cd7 accord spits pops and dies. need help
my 94 accord f22b2 single cam non vtec will run fine at times but after a drive if i shut it off it will start up but as soon as gas is applied it will run like **** and struggles to make it 5 feet. car will struggle to idle and run rough until it dies. whats wrong with my car? be gentle on me lol im a noob to hondas
I am not super familiar with these motors, but I can try and help. Is the check engine light on? Is there only certain conditions it will do this like cold days?
Something like this could be a fuel delivery issue, but it could also be a vacuum related issue. It's possible that the intake manifold gasket, shrivels a little and hardens when it is cold and then when you go to start it, it has a vacuum leak and will run like **** until the gasket becomes warm, swells, and the seals the intake. It could also be fuel related, you could an intermittent fuel pump issue, or possible fuel injectors that leak, so when you let the car sit for an extended period of time, some fuel leaks down so it runs too rich on startup even though I would say that probably isn't the case here, I wouldn't totally rule it out either. Be as specific as possible with the conditions it happens, how often. If you shut it off and start it, is it fine? Or if you apply gas and/or put into gear is it fine?

stuff to look into:
Starting Problems
if the ig switch is original it could be biting the dust.
you can clean it up but if you notice a difference after
best to replace if you have the $50 or so.
