Default Oil leak

I have a 2004 Honda Civic lx last time I got my oil changed the mechanic said I have a oil leak and to diagnose it was going to cost a lot. I never see oil under my car no puddles I do occasionally put oil in my car. I was wondering if it's a something I can fix myself instead of shelling out god knows how much to diagnose and fix it. I do have a pic from under my hood that looks like it could be coming from there?

Get a flashlight and look for the highest part that has oil. Start there.

Most likely the cam plug and or valve cover gaskets are leaking.

i like to regularly degrease with simple green and water from hose. That way I can see if and where they start to develop.

Agreed. I would say it's the cam plug. Looks just like mine did.

if you kept your bay clean, you would never need to ask where it's coming from. it would just be obvious.

440K on the clock, bay gets washed a few times a year and is spotless.
