Hello just trying to get some help on figuring out the problem with my 91 Ef 1.5L
so basically the car at times takes a few tries to start up, cranks but doesnt turn on the engine. Ive checked for spark and came to the conclusion that its something in the distributor, changed cap, rotor, and ignition coil. Car ran great for about 2 weeks then all of a sudden i have somewhat the same issue. Car turned on idled for about 5 mins, only this time i start to give it gas and it shut off on me. First thought was a bad fuel pump but i can hear it turn on so im eliminating that as the issue. So question is can it be the fuel regulator or can it be the IVAC?? im stumped and would really love some help

 

Hows your idle speed?

Check your vacuum lines.
Your map sensor could've come unplugged
