Default B16A Indentification

Sup, H-T! I'll keep this short.

Bought a '00 coupe swapped with a B16A but I don't know if its the SIR-I or SIR-II?

How can I know? Currently it is OBD2 with a CTR ECU.

I don't think this is the original ECU for this motor as I've read the CTR can rev to 9k but my B16A will have valve float over 8.2k.

Help!

Either way, the CTR ECU is wrong for a conventional B16A... it is designed for a tall deck, long rod, big cammed, big intake, mildly ported head B16B. That is a long way from any SiR regardless of the year.

Since you provided absolutely no information that will help this community help you in any way, yet you seem to be impatient... I suggest you remove your valve cover immediately and examine the oil spray bars. Assuming that these are original, SiR-I bars are cast aluminum and appear rough and dull in color. SiR-II oil spray bars are extruded aluminum and appear smooth and shiny.
