Default eliminating wires on harness: serious drag competitors only

well slowly but surely im makin my car into a drag car only. i got the honda service manual but i kinda needed to know what i can get rid of w/o CELs. it wont b street legal so all the headlights, taillights, heater controls, and **** like that will b eliminated. all i need is the ECU to run w/o CELs and if i did pop a code i need to b able to read that code. i prefer to not have to rewire the car, just eliminate what i dont need. my specific question is can i unplug the ELD wire???? i know its actually for parking lights but i do believe it has a code if its unplugged. any help would b appreciated.
