Default Car turns off while driving

while driving my 97 prelude SH it turns off randomly. with my foot on the gas. everything on the dash turns off almost like if a EMP went off in my car. Thought it might be the fuel pump and replaced it. It was not the issue. took it to a mechanic got the ignition switch replaced worked fine for the day. Now today, a day after it continues turning off. The problem seems worse now. Turned off on me at least 10 times.

as i turned the ignition it would turn off right away. I gassed it as i turned the key and was able to drive three blocks before it turned off again, and did so until i got home. I have no idea WTF is going on!!!!!

We need quite a bit more info on the car. i.e. year, model, transmission etc.

Sounds like a wire is losing power somewhere, if the ignition has been fixed. That or maybe an alarm cutting power?

sorry, new to forums.
97 prelude, base SH manual transmission

appretiate the response. Would removing the alarm completely fix the the shortage, if it were the problem?

If the problem was the alarm, then yes. If not, obviously you would have to look elsewhere.

Aftermarket alarms, especially older ones, can cause issues with our cars. Mine would randomly arm itself when driving, causing all of the lights and sirens to go haywire, and the door locks to freak out.

Are the lights on the dash flickering when the car stalls? Does it start back up immediately like normal, or does it crank for a while before it starts back up? Does the car sputter at all just before it stalls, or is it a clean shut off? Those are the kind of details that we need.
