Default '93 Civic Not Turning Over

Hey how's it goin guys. New here.

So like the title says my 93 Civic lx isn't turning over. I get all accessories just fine and the fuel pump kicks on like normal and everything but no fire to the starter. When I jump the starter straight from the battery it cranks and runs just fine and both times I've done it,then plugged the hotwire back into the starter,it'll crank and run about 4 or 5 times with the ignition then it's back to nothing. All fuses are fine. Just put on new battery cable ends and replaced the main relay a few months ago that went out. Getting a wire tester tomorrow to trace back from the starter and try that out I guess. I'm not particularly familiar with working on Hondas til recently,I've had this one a few years that I traded my first vehicle for which had a simple ol' carbureted 302. Anyway, thanks in advance.

DId you clean the cables and contacts on the starter solenoid? Are the connections at the starter solenoid tight?
Clean all chassis and engine grounds. Although it doesn't seem to be the problem have you had the battery and starter check at an auto parts store?

it's cheap and easy to toss in some new solenoid parts if necessary.
may just need a clean up.

Forgot to add I replaced the solenoid a few months ago right before I replaced the relay. Haven't tried cleaning yet but will tomorrow and check connections and grounds I may have missed.
I feel almost certain it isn't the starter by the way it fires right up,but may be worth while to get it tested I guess along with the battery,I had been considering a bad cell or something.
Appreciate the replies,I'll check back in the morning!

To check the connections to the battery, turn on the headlights and watch when you try to start. If they go out, you're losing power to the whole car, this is usually the terminals right at the battery.

Is there a click from the starter (and lights dim slightly) when it does not start? If the starter solenoid will pull in (click) but it doesn't turn, that's the contact points. Or a bad connection in the big wire from the battery to the starter.

Nah it just doesn't do anything at all. aside from accessories/fuel pump etc. I didn't get the wire tester today like I'd hoped. So no progress on testing for fire so far
