I am currently wanting to swap my stock motor which is a 98 with d16y8. Ive been reading around and i just want to get a final answer. I have a 99 parts car with motor, trans, engine wiring harness, ecu. I want to swap all four of though over to my 98. If i use them will they work?

 

the 96-98 civics are OBD2a, the 99-00 are OBD2b. you'd need to either get a jumper harness or swap the dash harness from the 99 parts car to the 98 i believe

 

So if i put it all in. What will happen. Will my dash lights and tacs not work? If this is the case. Ill do the 99 full dash swap so i can have the electronic heater panel
