Default B-Series Engine Rod Weight Comparison Question

Hi. I have a 98 JDM Integra TypeR.

I'm trying to confirm the weight of the rod in my car.
I have managed to establish the following:
B18/20 550g
B18c GSR 530g
Eagle H Beam 535g
Carrillo 500g
BC Sport 426g

I need to know the weight of:
Oem jdm B18cR Rod
Crower I Beam b93729b-4

I'm building an 84mm b18cR and therefore looking for a strong, light, reliable, but cost effective Rod.

Thanks

^have a look at my thread down below in this forum. All the "cost effective" rods are made in China. Seems like the highest quality are either Carrillo or Crower (i.e. not Brian Crower).

I would double check that Brian Crower weight, that seems awfully low for those rods.

Lol, now I'm in even more doubt. I did actually have a set of Eagles that I sold cheap, because I was told they're heavier than stock rods & were pointless for
a NA build. I do know that the TypeR rod is a design unlike the conventional B-series rods & is lighter but stronger. The thing to remember is that the B18cR
crank is also heavier that other B-Series cranks. My question is, is there merit in going with a BC "lightweight" rod or some equivalent over the stock TypeR rod.
I cant afford the Carillo. If you think the exchange rate is bad between Canada & the US, try 13.5 South African Rands to 1 US$. A $450 set of rods, along with
shipping, 20% duties & 14% tax on the total is roughly $720. That's close on R10 000. I can try & swing this, but $1200.......

So, I've managed to find a set of these:

Crower B93729B-4

I'm hoping they'll be lighter than stock.

Honestly I ran Eagle rods in my last bottom end and it didn't hurt power any, sure you will be fine with those Crowers

Chickity China the Chinese rods. You have some bump sticks and the bottom end starts ticking. Heavy and not reliable for being forged.

I'm sure the Crowers must be lighter than the stock rod. A friend with an H22 has a set of Crowers. He says they're lighter than his stock rods.

Next question. I'm going 84mm on the b18c. What's lighter between a forged and a cast piston?

Depends.

If you're looking for lightweight, CP does one, look for the X in the SKU

Those weights posted earlier are for the GSR rods, the B18 rods weigh a bit more. That's why I was confused.
