Default question on HID

I'm a newbie to HID...wondering if I can use the 94 and up Integra housing with HID kit or any other alternative? Which kit is the best setup?

well..do you have an integra? or are you going to throw the integra projector into another housing..

if u have an integra, just get a 9006 HID kit with D2S bulbs. also, avoid letting a salesman try to sell you 5000K 6000K 7000K 8000K or 9000K HID kits.. 4300K is the right color temp.

if you're going to do a projector swap, dont waste your time with halogen housings.. just go on ebay and get a set of audi, bmw, s2000, or anything that uses projectors for OEM HID.. and just use those.. integra projectors with HID arent very impressive.

they work better than halogen.. but to make it like a bmw..you gotta get an OEM HID projector and swap it out with your integra one..its a tough project..but worth it.

I have friends w/ HID in their Integras.... the light output compared to halogen is just awesome, even the HID retrofits. Beware of stuff on eBay, ALOT oh HID headlights on there are most likely stolen

I have a 9000k HID kit with hella balasts on my 95 Teg. They arent as impressive as those found on an s2000 or other cars that come with the HID lights, but they are certainly a step up from the Stock halogens.

I wouldnt go back anymore.

the reason they arent impressive is because they are 9000K.. the color temp is so high that the lumens are near halogen output.. ive seen plenty of these 9000K kits on RSX's around here..they have kinda like a pinkish voliet blue output, and the ground isnt lit up at all..

CL's use D2R bulbs, you need D2S for projectors.

any OEM HID projector will be good.. you could even use the Hella 60mm or the 90mm.. those are aftermarket HID projectors..they work great..

it has to be an OEM D2S bulb.. it cant be a halogen fitted bulb..so if it says something like 9006, 9004, H4, or any of those fitments..it wont work.

integ projectors are bigger than OEM HID ones.

you arent making any holes.. you just have to cut the integ projectors mounting bracket off and JB weld it to the OEM HID ones then bolt them back in.

oh.....not even making it bigger or something?....oh that's great...I thought due to the projector size....I have to modify the size of a hole on the headlight to make it fit. Would that be better using honda projector like those in S2000 instead of using BMW's and Audi's so that I don't need to do much more work? coz' I'm so worry losing the aiming function on my headlight. Does that matter?
