Hello, my 2002 Honda Accord acts like it doesn't want to go when accelerating. I thought that maybe I was pressing the gas to hard but even when pressed as slow as possible it does the same time. It kinda hesitates and jumps before speeding up. I got a mechanic to run a diagnostic and it showed nothing. My check engine light is not on at all. I really love this car and it rides very smooth once it's up to speed. PLEASE HELP!

 

First thing I would check are the spark plugs. Sometimes the catalytic converter can be clogged up, which would sound like metal rattling around. You can try pulling the front oxygen sensor and seeing if it runs better which would allow exhaust gas to get out.

I have a 95 Prelude vtec manual transmission. I am able to "resolve" the ossue for 6 months to 1 year by replacing the O2 sensor. But no root cause found yet. Please let me know if this helps and if anyone has any ideas about how to keep from replacing the sensor so often.

 

I had to replace my vtec solenoid. The engine was dirty and blocked the screen in it. The vtec automatically adjusts your idle.
