I have an 01 GSR on the way. In the next 6-8 months i am thinking about turbocharging it, my question is what exhaust should i get in the mean time? If i get turbo exhaust now (thermal) will it screw stuff up? Or should i just wait till then? The mods i will do before the turbo will be like cam gears, ignition, possibly internals, clutch and lightened flywheel, etc. Thanks for any info you can give!!!

 

Hey man get a Apexi N1 good for now or for then either way it is a great exhaust system, or a greddy evo cat. Good luck

 

don't buy a N/A exhuast system now if you are going to turbo later on. I suggest getting at least 2.5" piping. If you plan on going with very high boost, then you will want 3" piping. Also, if you are going turbo, get custom piping with no resonators. With a turboed car you don't need any. But until you turbo it, it will be loud as a ****

 

I would just wait until you get the turbo installed and then get a custom exhaust I would probly go with a 2.5-3 in system.

 

Doesnt matter when you put it on but if youre going to go turbo then get a 3" system, such as the thermal.

get a 2.5" Kakimoto N1 exhaust for your car. You can use it with boost or N/A

 

nothing wrong with gettin a thermal exhaust for now til you get your turbo on. if u find a 2.5in exhaust system.. that works fine, too.
