Hey so, im putting in a new compressor,drier,condenser, almost whole thing lol. But, should i buy a new evaporator or expansion vale? Is there a way to see if they are good? I figure once its all together i vsn vac it, and if there is a clog id see it right? And so u all know. My compressor exploded, like a big white cloud poof! So i know there is a switch near the condenser, do i need to replace this too? Thanks in advance, im pretty good at stuff but am new to ac.

 

Being that you are going to have most of the system being replaced already, i would recommend replacing the expansion valve as well. That way you save yourself the headache and money of replacing it if they wear out within the next little while. As for the evaporator you can check that by pressure testing it.
