Piece of spark plug fell down into the block and sitting on top of piston. Really dont want to remove the head and was hoping i could just remove this nut if possible? Anyone know if And how this comes out? I remember my last gsr i was able to put a ratchet extension down the hole. Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the broken spark plug first, dab some grease on a chop stick and get it out.

^^^ Good idea. Could also try rigging up a drinking straw attachment to a vacuum with tape if there are multiple small pieces.

The spark plug has been removed, ill try the grease trick, but a chop stick wont fit, ill try it with a coat hanger.
Ive tried the straw and vacuum and didnt work.
Can that nut down there be removed? Do i need a special socket? I tried a 17mm and doesnt fit.

I agree, but I cant get a socket around it. 16 mill and 17mm socket wont grab it. 18mm only fits down half way. i dont ever remember the hole being that small cause my last b18c i waas able to put a ratchet extension down there to to see where the piston head was as in tdc.

Im going to put some loktite on the threads and thread it in wait and hopefully it removes the full spark plug and give me the bigger hole so i can stick a straw down there or chop stick with some secured double sided sticky tape.

Yeah that threw me for a loop...I was like "I KNOW whatever is in there isn't supposed to be there...but he DID take the spark plug out. WTF?"

Try the vacuum again but make sure that the cylinders valves are open
