Default AC problem on a 1991 civic DX

I am not a mechanic, and was hoping to get an answer to a probably stupid question. My AC seems to have stopped working after I had a blown heater core hose. Is this possible, or is it coincidence? Thanks in advance.

describe what you mean by "AC stopped working".

does it not go cold? blower turn on? compressor clutch engage?

no, it doesnt seem likely just a heater hose would affect the ac working.

It doesn't blow cold air, it justs blow air. I don't know what you mean by compressor clutch engaging.

you just need to diagnose the AC. forget that the heater core blew, just go thru the normal troubleshooting. could be a dozen different things to figure out why your AC isnt working.
