Default Quality and pricing of LED bulbs

Hi everybody,

I'm looking to replace the stock light bulbs on my 94 Integra LS. Specifically, I'm looking to replace the interior bulbs (MAP, dome, trunk, etc) as well as exterior bulbs (license plate, brake, reverse, etc). Searching for appropriate replacements can be somewhat overwhelming, as there are many options! The problem I'm having is deciding on which LED light I should get.

Amazon has an 8-piece package (link here:
https://www.superbrightleds.com/vehicle/1994-acura-integra-vehicle-led-lights?make=1&model=978&year=1994]https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J7XMFOA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2CQLV1NTXC8PD https://www.superbrightleds.com/vehicle/1994-acura-integra-vehicle-led-lights?make=1&model=978&year=1994]https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J7XMFOA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2CQLV1NTXC8PD
) [/ame]that is only $20. However, I've noticed quite a few posts on this forum that point to superbrightleds.com. I really like their website and how informative they are, which makes me think that they know what they are talking about. However, for the same 8 bulbs as the Amazon package, one would spend approximately $70! See here: https://www.superbrightleds.com/vehicle/1994-acura-integra-vehicle-led-lights?make=1&model=978&year=1994
carid.com has similar prices to superbrightleds.com.

Does anybody have any experience with the Amazon kit that I linked? I don't necessarily believe that simply because something is more expensive that it is better. However, the Amazon product only has 3 reviews so I'm not sure what to make of it. superbrightleds.com seems to be the more popular option, but can anyone clarify why there is over a 300% price difference between LEDs off of Amazon/eBay and superbrightleds/carid? Any information would be very helpful. Thanks!

There are alot of kits on amazon. I would suggest going with philips, 20 yr warranty and its not that expensive. I have LED's on the exterior like the front turn signals and rear tail lights and the interior map light and dome light.

Those amazon LEDs look like the same ones everyone sells . Those get the job done and is cheap if you need to replace them multiple times . You pay for the quality build . it depends if you are OK with it . With super bright , they are spot on with the choice in color

Thanks LowTEC SaiMike...that's the kind of response I was looking for, and it reaffirms exactly what I was thinking. Still, it would be nice if somebody did a side-by-side comparison of the cheap Amazon/eBay bulbs versus those from superbrightleds.com (or similar quality). For my own car, I ended up going with a package I found on eBay. It included all of the lights listed on the Amazon kit but also includes a few LEDs for the cluster. I especially appreciated that they used real photos in their eBay listing and I figured $30 wasn't too much of waste if they turned out like crap. The link is below in case anybody is interested.

1994-2001 Acura Integra Led Cluster Bulbs DC2 DB7 DC4 Jdm Full Led Kit White USA | eBay

Someday soon I may purchase one of the superbrightled.com bulbs and do a direct side-by-side comparison. I think it would be best to test something of which there are two bulbs, like the MAP or reverse lights. Any thoughts on that?

That sounds like a good idea . It will definitely give the community a better visual of what they want when upgrading bulbs
