hello ,
i have a jdm p30 that i bought from ebay , i fitted a demon in it and it doesnt work ,
i changed the q31 transistor allready , the car just doesnt fire ,
any ideas of components i could change to get it working ?

i forgot to mention , the car runs perfectly with a p13 ecu , and i fitted a full milspec h22 swap harness so the problem isnt to do with wiring ...

So you bought said P30 and installed demon. Did it work before you installed demon?

I never tried the ecu before fitting the demon...

 

So now we have established that the P30 is of questionable functionality, what steps did you follow to install the demon board?

 

And PLEASE post pictures of the insides of the ECU with the demon board and such. Thanks!

 

 

 

I followed a tutorial to fit the demon, and it connects to Neptune ok, I asked at moates for help and they told me that the demon was working fine, i am pretty sure that my connections are OK, the p13 was working fine so I suppose it is the P30, what do you think?

Very likely to be something with the ECU itself, especially if demon communicates ok with Neptune.

 

i do have a jdm p72 with a dead board for any spare components i could use ...

 

my first question was what are the components that could fail , not to diagnose that my ecu is faulty ... i obviously knew that ...

The capacitors are the largest problem in these things. Quite a few in my old P06 tested bad..

 

i changed the main capacitor in c27 allready , any others i should change ?

 

any transistors i should look at in particular too ?

 

Moates sells a rebuild kit for just a couple bucks. I'd look into one of those. Pretty much all caps.

as the p30 map isnt for a h22 i didnt want to try it without demon

 

so what do you think the problem is ?

 

should i take the bridge off j1 and try the ecu ?
