Guys, we think our troubles may be within the dizzy on our usdm 99 with a newly installed jdm engine. In looking at replacement dizzy, some are saying theirs fits 96 thru 00 s while some show separate dizzy s for 96 thru 98 and then 99 and 00s. Are there two different units , if so , I assume the difference would be for V tecs and Non Vtecs.....is that right. Ok, there are many listed on ebay for as little as 54 bucks.......I assume they are pretty much all made in China.....which makes wonder how good are the Chinese electronic internals. Any body have any experience using them or which unit is the best for the buck.....thanks.

 

Go to any online Honda part site, plug in your car info. Get the part number. Search for the part number. No guess game. Not that difficult.

 

you likely just need a coil or maybe icm.
test your parts, get the honda coil or airtex
icm if necessary (better design and way cheaper than the honda unit).
the $50 ebay stuff is crap. distributorking on ebay is decent guy if you want to
shell out 100 bucks or so. better to rebuild yourself if you have a honda tec unit imho.
