Default Gauge cluster and fan problem

Have a 2008 honda civic. Car will start. In start up the gauge cluster goes through the check process then the temp gauge goes out. The check engine, abs, doors open, and TPMS lights are on. And the tach and speedometer are not working. Also the radiator fans do not come on. Tried two code readers and both say can not communicate.

any ideas?

It might be wise to go see a local electrical specialist on this one.

The Gauge Control Module (instrument cluster module) is not probably not communicating with the PCM (power train control module).

Disconnect the negative battery cable for several minutes, to reset the modules and see if that makes a difference.

Disconnected battery overnight. No change. Where is the gauge cluster control module. I'm sure something is fried. Just not sure if it's the pcm since car will start. Don't think the gauge cluster itself is messed up cause it does the lamp check process just fine
