Default damaged compressor mounting hole

i so have this denso 17c compressor for my crv to replace my current failing one but 1 of its mounting holes are damaged. is it still safe to mount them with just 3 bolts? can it be brought to a machine shop and get fixed? is it possbile to cut a mounting hole from my current compressor and weld it to this one? thank you!

Default Re: damaged compressor mounting hole

Is it safe??? Possibly... would i do it to my car? Yes. Would i do it to another persons car? NO!

I would be very hesitant to weld to a compressor case without a full rebuild after... lots of heat going into it.

Im sure you can find another one. I don't know what the interchange is but I have recently thrown out 2 compressors, 1 civic 1 integra. Had I known someone needed it I would have given it to them- put up a WTB ad
