Default Are eBay Upper Control Arm Ball Joints replaceable?

I got a pair of EMUSA tubular upper control arms. Initially the ball joints were stiff, which is why I bought them from the kid, but now that they are in my warm house for a few weeks, I was eventually able to rock the threads back and forth by hand. I took off the boots and I see the grease is getting dry.

Do you think these ball joints could be pressed out? Or is that a weld I see in the pic? Or could it be glue? There is no c-clip.

Is the whole thing welded or do you think it could be pushed out?
Looks like there is a very thin gap...

Hard to tell but it looks like the mounting hole is welded and the balljoint is pressed in.

Is the balljoint damaged or are you wanting to replace it due to the lack of grease?
If its only because of the grease part, why not pack it with a quality(preferably synthetic) grease and reinstall the dust cover?

They don't look welded directly, but seems like a piece was welded on to hold them in place permanently- it doesn't seem like you could replace them with a standard ball-joint either

If a new set of those control arms with the ball joints is $40 shipped, why not save yourself the hassle of finding out the hard way and just buy them- or something else new?

if it really took any effort at all to move them around when you tried with them warm, I'd also just try to get more grease in them and run em- or get another set of arms if they are real sloppy (but keep in mind they are ebay ones, and you can expect them to not be super firm when they're new either)

One of the downfalls of cheap eBay parts is not being able to just buy OTS replacement parts. Vendors (even guys like NRG) almost never respond...

If you can push the post with your fingers can it still be good? Could I get a decent alignment with these?

You have to push HARD to move them. They aren't flopping around, but I was thinking you couldn't get an alignment unless they were unmovable by hand.

Would you agree or can "pretty stiff" give you a decent alignment?
