Hello, everyone.
I just picked up my first Honda, a bone stock, never modified 1993 Del Sol Si with 181,200 on the clock. I am the third person in my company to own this car. Before that, it lived in Virginia, and has next to no rust at all. The head gasket blew a few months ago, which is when it got sold to the last guy. He fixed it up, replaced the distributor, plugs, wires, and a few other things that I am probably forgetting. I've had it for three days now, and have been too busy driving it to take any pictures, so for now you get one of his pictures and two of mine from the day I bought it. The picture the PO sent me when I asked about the aux lights Not the most pretty Loads of potential though.I bought it wanting a reliable, fuel efficient daily driver, while I build up my 1995 Subaru Legacy and that is still the main plan, but five minutes on a back road has me convinced that I need to take it out to an autocross or three. my initial plans to keep it entirely stock are definitely out the window.
Some questions I have about this car are:
-Can I eliminate the cowl shake, or at least reduce it with the top off?
-Does anyone make a high-quality exhaust that is deeper than the original, but not exceedingly loud? (I live in a complex with some very sweet older folks who sleep late. I want to keep on their good side.)
-How poorly do aftermarket fiberglass fenders fit?
