Default Forgot 50mm socket on crank pulley

Has anyone made this mistake? Well I made another stupid mistake. I left the 50mm socket on my crank pulley. I forgot it was there after doing my timing belt.
Anyway I turned the key and bam. I was like crap what the hec was that. I thought I bent some valves or slung a rod. the car didn't crank from the pressure and I sat there and couldn't believe it. I got out and looked and there it was sitting there. I then checked to see if my marks lined up at tdc and gave it another go and it cranked up and ran fine. Only thing I noticed is when I was putting lining up my marks it turned easier didn't seem like a lot of pressure but it sounded fine running. Anyway has anybody done this before?
