So I know absolutely nothing about cars or repairs. My car has been rough idling and will occasionally stall. The check engine light has also been randomly coming on. When I googled those symptoms it led me to the IAC possibly needing to be replaced. So I'm planning on having a friend replace this for me and see if that helps. I'm not sure what IAC to buy as I can't seem to find one that it compatible with my car. I have a 4 cyl 2006 Accord SE. Can anyone tell me what I specifically need to buy? Thanks

 

Instead of buying parts, I'd start with getting the codes from the PCM.

 

The 2006 Accord doesn't have an IAC valve. Go to Autozone or other parts store to get the trouble code(s) read; they usually do it for no charge.
