Default OBD1 CEL Wiring/ecu pinout

I am currently a student at Western Washington University doing an independent study (revamp of a car the university has previously built) They have this mid engine carbon fiber chassis car with a boosted d16z6 in it that is running a chipped p28 tuned with crome. The car doesn't have have any form of mil/cel light and is not using a main relay that hondas normally would (instead the fuel pump is wired to constant voltage when the ignition is on. These are two issues I have to fix before i continue tuning/retuning. My issue right now is trying to wire up the mil light (i want to be able to make sure a tune has actually synced to the moates ostrich via the light and I want to be able to check if there are any issue with the engine before i start tuning (codes on the ecu). I am using A13 for my cel negative signal but i am getting a constant light on the led

any help is appreciated
Thanks

A13 is correct for mil light but it's a 12v signal it sends out not negative/ground as you stated. Regardless, why it is constantly on seems to be the issue. Have you been able to get it to flash any codes or is it just staying solid on? Usually solid cel can mean fault within the ecu such as eeprom error for corruption.

I also remember solid MIL can have a cetain meaning for chipped ECU that is different than a stock ECU.

I don't remember exactly what it is as I haven't dealt with chipped tuned ecu's yet, but I do recall there was something about it.

I had started with it as a 12v signal but was receiving no power when grounded and then ignition turned on (do i need to use a specific sensor ground from the ecu or anything)

I'll definitely look into the solid mil (maybe going back over the crome startup guide will shed some light)

Thanks

There is nothing special about it, just 12v signal from ECU to mil and ground off other side.

This car sounds like an FSAE/Baja car on steroids.
