Default awd sedan not using wagovan diff and center diff

i know there have been a few of these discussions on a few forums. and some rumming examples but it seams like they only go in a straight line. what if you made a evo type car out of a civic what if you used rear diff from a another car with more of a rear bias. so what do you guys think?

Back when this era car was relivant for modifying, I was eyeballing the 4wd sedans from Europe. I believe they were sold under the company Rover.
But today.... not even interested really.
it might be unique, but I think thats the extent of it.
after all said and done, money invested would get you into a WRX or an EVO.

everything can be made. the question is how much do you want it?? how big is your shop and how much time and money do you have, how good are your fab skills?

if you say 'I don't have a shop' then just literally buy a 90s DSM, or the later WRX and Mitsu platforms. There are so many of those cars around, it is a no-brainer.

i got respect for people that do unique builds, but in reality only about 5% of those unique builds are actually ever finished AND driveable. I bet there are many many many unfinished 'builds' sitting under tarps all around the country cuz people get in too deep and underestimate the amount of work or money involved.

i understand your guys point of veiw but i'm very much serious because i have alot of resources, a big shop, tools, and alot of fab and welding time on my belt. so now that im done selling my self id really like to know what center or rear diffs can i use. can i swap gear sets in a crv b series tranny? front lsd in that tranny? and also custom or production axles. ive been thinking of it for a while but no answer has come through. plus id love an evo 3 or 4/5 but i really cant do that right now. maybe in a few years when they become legal to import because any other awd turbo car if either fat ugyl or to expensive for me. thanks for your replies.

I've got a 4wd sedan, and the whole floor pan from firewall to rear bumper is unique to the 4wd sedan, its dramatically different. Nothing from the 4wd wagon (or 4wd sedan for that matter) will bolt into a fwd sedan (interior/rear bumper/trunk interior/driveline/exhaust etc).

With this in mind, there's no real use in going with Honda parts bin stuff, venture out and find a driveline that will handle your power expectations. The difference in how much custom fab work required between staying with Honda stuff, or going with mitsu/subie stuff would be about the same.

4wd models were sold as Honda civics. They badge swapped the Concerto/Accord/Legend and later models of the civic, but Rover didn't sell a 4wd model of any of those.

Thanks! Standing corrected.
Had to do homework - it's the EF5 Civic RT-Si that had 4wd.
Same gearbox as the shuttle.
'Intrac' option that added an LSD to the rear.
