I recently picked up a 98 honda civic hatch and the hood has some hail damage on it. I figured it'd be cheaper and probably better to buy a new hood and have it painted.

The oem hood is affordable ($300) however with shipping it's no longer ideal for me ($500+).

I've seen a few aftermarket oe replacement (capa certified) for $200 shipped. Has anyone bought an aftermarket hood for their ek's and how is the fitment?

 

car-part.com enter zip. you can search for your color, used oem. the aftermarket hoods fit well, but i've seen webbing separate, rust issues if not painted on both sides properly, etc

 

I've had one for a few years now without any problems.

I paid $204 at the time that I bought mine, it was on sale.

As far as quality goes I am not sure but fitment is spot on and that's all I was really worried about.
