Default Accord 2001 Shift problem

Hi I have a 2001 Accord Ex 4cyl I4 Auto.
We bought this car as a 2nd owner from the dealer at 60k miles 4 years ago, and only drove it to 80k currently.
The problem with this car is that it sometimes have shifting problems when you push the acceleration. Happens most often in stop and go traffic, after the initial "clunk" it drives and decelerates smoothly.
It doesn't happen often but it happens sometimes when we go uphill or again from a complete stop. Highways are fine, but i drive alot in the city so i notice it more. It hasent gotten worse and theres no warning lights or anything but I just want to see what fixes there are besides tranny rebuild.

I checked the tranny fluid and it is pink and at good levels. Should I just deal with it since its been happening for like 4 years now?, dunno

thanks,

Drivetrain should not 'clunk' when placed into gear.
Verify your mounts are in proper order. If the front 'stopper' mount or the rear mount are failing, the shifting may seem clunky but otherwise normal shifting.
The mounts should be inspected. Being an AT the mount closest to the firewall(rear) is vacuum controlled to prevent excess vibrations into the cabin while the engine is idling in Drive stopped. Once the throttle begins to open the PCM commands the vacuum controls to stiffen the mount to allow transfer of power. When this mount goes bad there can be excessive movement of the engine/drivetrain with on/off throttle application and you may hear rubbing or some noises when the engine is under heavy load.
There is also a front mount, which Honda calls a 'stopper', it is not a load bearing mount in itself but it helps prevent excessive engine movement when a heavy load is placed on the drivetrain.
If the front mount is broken(common) it will allow excessive movement and strain the rear mount, which can eventually fail it and cause excessive movement in the drivetrain during heavy loading and shifting.
