Default 96 accord spark plug oil

So my 4 cylinder accord wouldn't start checked the spark plugs and the passenger side 2 were covered in oil like driping. The far driver side is has burnt crude on it. So part of me is scared that my car is spewing online the combustion chamber and the car is probably dead but it did drive very well and seamed really smooth yesterday. So I'm asking for some hope. I'm irrationally attached to this car that I swear tries harder when I drive it.

What should I do to fix this. I bought some new spark plugs and I'm going to replace the valve gaskets. I'm going to do a compression test too.

First things you have to look for in a no start situation is fuel and fire. Are you getting spark to the plugs and are you getting fuel into the cylinders?

When you pulled your spark plugs what condition were the electrode tip ends? Black and dry, black and wet, white and dry? If they were wet did it smell like fuel or was it oil?

As far as the oil on the plug boots and spark plugs goes. That is a condition commonly caused by worn/leaking spark plug tube seals. Where you have not told us what year or trim level your Accord is, I'm not sure if you have the Non-VTEC or VTEC. The F22B2 Non-VTEC requires two sets of oil seals, 4 upper and 4 lower. Where as the F22B1 VTEC only has the 4 upper tube seals.

So all plugs were black and wet with oil. I have the non vtec version. I couldn't smell gas because two were covered in oil. I replaced the pump and filter recently when I was under there cause it was easy

Thank you for your reply

spark plug tube seals like before mentioned is the cause of oil on the plugs and plug wire boots. when you try to start it just spins over but does not fire off right? take a spark plug out, leave the plug wire on it and while cranking it over look at the plug to see if you are getting spark. Was this an "all of a sudden one day" kinda thing? The main relay under the drivers side of the dash controls fuel pump power and power to the distributor and has a relatively high rate of failure on these cars. they are inexpensive. and easy to replace.
