Default Hello honda lovers

Hi! Newbie here from Baxter, Tn. I have a 2005 Honda Civic LX coupe that I am madly in love with. I am in the process of waiting until I get paid to try and get a better idea of what could be wrong with it. I have been reading threads in this group for some time so I decided it can't hurt to finally become a member and see what new information I can learn from those more experienced. I decided to start researching on my own in the meantime since the dealership told me I had a blown head gasket and needed timing belt/water pump changed (timing/water pump was already replaced 2 years ago). A few days after hearing that news, autozone code scanner read P0171 "system too lean", not getting enough air or gas... Goes without saying that I have no clue who to trust now. My instinct is that the head gasket is not blown. No smoke from tailpipe and no mixing of oil/coolant. So many other symptoms but I will introduce those on a new thread. Thank you for adding me!

Katherine
