TEIN vs Truhart Coilovers
Given those two sub-par choices, I guess TruHart.
This thread would have gone infinitely better for you if you said "I have XXX amount to spend, what is the best suspension setup for my price range"

Tein SA's aren't sub par. I've been using them on my TSX for 60K miles now. IDK what would make them sub par. They're fantastic if you want something simple to use in all types of climates that is comfort biased...and plan to lower slightly or moderately.
Its obvious that the TruHart has more features leaning toward slamming the **** out of a car. If you'd like to slam the **** out of your **** for **** cheap, the Truhart is where you wanna be.
You haven't mentioned a purpose, however, OP.
There are litetally 50 billion coilovers available for a civic for under $1k

I've never ridden on them, but I have had multiple sets of Tein SuperStreets, and those are garbage. In fact, every Tein I've ridden on has sucked, so I just figured the new, low end ones sucked too.

Tein SA's are great. don't plan on lowering more than 1.5".
OTS GC/Koni yellows are also a top contender. Lifetime guarantee. Don't plan on lowering more than 1.25".
Tein street flex or flex Z if you want something more agressive and with more adjustment.
There's also AMR and PIC.
Try researching those brands.

PIC will be more than what you have mentioned you would budget for. PIC are awesome in my opinion.. I have them on my track civic ... but if you are considering TruHart, PICs are not for you... The original Tein Superstreets from 2001-2004 were fine.. anything after that was junk. We have a set on our EF and they're holding up fine.
Your best bet is Koni / GC or Progress CS2/3. I wouldn't even consider TruHart, but I'm a track junkie...

With our coupon code, our setup should be right at your budget. Have a good one. Thank you to those who mentioned us, as our business the past decade has mostly been from word of mouth. Thanks again.
