noticed this problem on the freeway car stalled for 1 second and re started it's self while driving 60mph. When I got to where I was going my car wouldn't start, it started and ran for thirty seconds and has not started since. I replaced the distributor and I'm still not getting spark. Fuses isn't the problem I checked them all. I also put a new main relay and starter(starter was going out anyways). I'm not sure where to start so some advice is what I need. Thanks for the help!

 

does the new distributor have a brand name? made in china?
test the coil and icm.

Well I found the problem.. the new dizzy broke, you know the crank with the two teeth that go into the head gasket(what ever it's called) teeth broke my mistake. Replaced the part off my old dizzy and it fired up after messing with the timing. I'm no mechanic but I'm patting myself on the back for saving myself time and money😅

Now I have a horrible knocking sound coming from dizzy so tomorrow I'm going to look back through it and find out why it's doing that. My guess is the teeth off the old dizzy are still in there somewhere and hits hitting a lifter or something like that but we will see. I'll let you know if I can find anything tho!
