Since I hate Hood pins, I put these on.......
quick release fasteners. Mostly used by race teams for body panels, air splitters, etc. That's a great idea, too bad my hood doesnt fit good enough to use them. . .
come on now guys (and girl). Hood pins have been around since muscle cars. They're not "pep boys hood pins." If you like that clean look, you should consider hood locks. They're flush and they use a key to secure your hood. Added security against theives, fastening of hood, and good looks.

I think they are actually called Dzus quick-release fasteners. You turn them 1/4 turn to release them. Race cars use them on their body panels to make them easily removable with a quickness.
Heard those are not as secure as the regular hood pins/locks. Are you using only 1 on each side? You might need some more.
Damn, those look really clean and flush. Can you give a link of where to get some. I have caught people getting into my hood while I am at Walmart or somewhere. I need something that locks better than my hood pins and single hood latch.
You get originality points!!
