Default 14.7 with only an Injen intake.

I started another thread where I posted someone else's times that I thought was pretty impressive and it got pretty ugly so I thought I'd start a new one with my own times.

I went to cecil county maryland last night. I only got 4 runs in, it was so damn packed. The last time I went to run my car I was able to break into the 14's with 14.998. This time I started out with a dissapointing 15.8, then I got a 15.1, then I beat my old best time with a 14.940. But on my last run I kinda cheated, I left my hood open a while to let my engine cool down and took off my air filter for my last run(I know its not good cause a rock might fly in but I only did it for 1 run). I launched at 3500 rpms and featherd my clutch more than usual and got a 14.714. I was shocked and so happy! I also beat someone's r/t for the first time ever. It was a very good night for me, and all I have done is an intake. here is my time slip if there is any doubt.

OH MY GOD!!! people are actually responding to this! It was up a couple of days and nobody responded so i thought nobody cared. I was just so happy that I wanted to share my times with the world.

nice times though.
the other car was a 2001 VR6 Golf. He had a horrible launch, I think he misshifted too. His best run of the night was a 15.6, and I was ready to talk all sorts of **** about VW's but I met a guy there in an automatic 1.8 turbo jetta that was stock except for a chip and some other mod, and he ran a 14.76. I was shocked!!! those 1.8's kick ***.

What ran the 13.6 on the time slip?

sorry for the confusion. In my first run against a vr6 golf I ran a 15.6 and the golf ran a 17.3. But on my last run I raced an old modified up camaro and I ran a 14.7 and the camaro ran a 13.6.

Is Cecil near Rising Sun, if you've ever heard of it. Anyway my dad grew up there and used to always tell me stories about him at the strip. Thought it was Cecil County.
