Got 1992 Accord EX as a "beater daily".
I have been itching to get a cheap daily so I can progress my Mustang more toward a track-dedicated car. So I did. I bought a 1992 Accord EX with 190K from the original owner (title literally says 33 miles on it) with full service history including fluid changes. Paid $800. The hood sits a little misaligned because it's missing the rubber stopper things on each side and the driver window seal needs replacing, if that is even possible now, but other than that it doesn't leak a drop of anything and runs and shifts perfectly. No rust since it's been a Georgia car all its life. Shocks are original and so I'll be changing those out (they are... quite soft) -- probably just get a Monroe/equivalent all-in-one setup. Brakes are spongy, so I'll do a fluid flush, pad and rotor replacement, and I'll probably either rebuild or replace the front calipers. Rear brakes I'll just refresh. Interior has some "improvement areas" but I really don't care. Tires are a little old but they're fine for now - luckily tires are about 1/8th the price of my Mustang's tires! I just need the thing to go to and from work without burning a 1/4 tank of gas per day. Don't need to impress anyone - and frankly it'll be nice parking close to stores instead of light years away at the back of the lot! Really a great car, though.
Oh, and that antenna that's not down? It was broken when I bought it. Well, I closed the trunk and the spoiler caught it and broke it right off the car. Haha... oops. I rarely listen to music in the car anyway.
