squeking noise in steering wheel
theres a squeking noise when i turn my steering wheel. checked power steering fluid levels and its okay. Is there a leak somewhere or do i need to replace the power steering belt?
wheres the squeak coming from, the hub itself or the engine bay, if its the hub, then try WD40 where the steering wheel bolts onto the steering hub, if its in th engine bay the belt may need tightening or else its worn and dried out and may need replacing
i have the same problem but i removed my power steering belt a few months ago. sometimes when i turn the wheel it makes almost like a squeek type noise. you guys have any idea what it is?
I asked a honda technician he said "its the cold weather it causes your gaskets to shrink. Thats why you hear that noise" ..Well dunno but i'll wait til it gets hot again..
theres a technical bulletin about this I think.... Most of us all have it, its covered by warrently. I saw the bulletin in the ITR forum, or somewhere here I believe.
Ya, it has to do with the cold weather and the lack of grease. it gets annoying sometimes.
