Default EG6 B16 swap

I have a b16 swap in an EG hatch. What's a good header and exhaust system setup for my car? I don't want any exhaust system that is too loud. I like something similar to the apexi ws2 or the greddy ti-c.

Sounds like you answered your own question with respect to the exhaust system... buy the Apexi WS2 or GReddy Ti-C. As for the header, there are plenty of quality choices... one of the obvious ones would be the Skunk2 Alpha.

Since you are new, you should probably familiarize yourself with the posting rules here. Otherwise, you will draw the ire of many veteran members here. It is a big no-no to post the same question in multiple locations. After you have exhausted the search function and read all associated threads... and you have not found the answer you are looking for...select the single most appropriate Sub-forum and ask your question.

Welcome to the board.

Yea your on the right path with those. Get a plm rep header, and make sure you run a high flow cat or it'll be raspy.

Can you suggest a high flow cat for the plm header?

What are your header and exhaust setup? I heard that the apexi ws2 restrict power and I'm not sure if its true. Also for the greddy ti-c i can not find one that will fit my car. Thanks for the advice.

A quality 60mm cat-back like the Apexi WS-2 is an excellent choice... quiet without restricting HP. As a general rule, the quieter the exhaust, the more restrictive it is. However, for what the B16A is capable of producing with respect to horsepower... with bolt-ons and even internal mods, you will not out power a 60mm cat-back. Bigger than that, you will gain nothing up top and LOSE power in the midrange. Lower cost cat-back exhaust systems advertise similar pipe sizes, however, there are restrictions and choke points in them as well as substandard materials that restrict HP output.

Personally I use the following:

- Replica RMF Narrow Header (I probably recommend a Toda replica version for simplicity and max ground clearance)
- JDM DC2 Type-R short 2.5" Catalytic converter
- JDM DC2 B-Pipe
- JDM EK9 Muffler
- New Gaskets

It's nice & quiet, with OEM Quality (except header) & fit is perfect.

Thank you for the kind words.

Custom built HyTech header... John created it with my input and specifications. The cat-back is an "old school" Thermal 3" stainless system with a custom test pipe that includes a Vibrant resonator.

My "K" powered cars will be added to the fleet this year and I am VERY excited to be able to transition back into them as they were my "daily drivers"... my current DD just isn't very fun at all.
