Default knocking and hesitating during acceleration

My 99 Honda Accord is knocking and hesitating when I step on the gas pedal, idle seems to be fine. Does this mean a bad knock sensor?

Check for any stored codes first. Have it scanned.

If you don't have any stored codes, try cleaning the throttle body. It could be the throttle position sensor as well. Watch Scotty Kilmer's YouTube video "Is your car hesitating? It may need a new throttle position sensor" also "How to fix a hesitating car". The throttle position sensor is located right where the black rubber intake hose connects to the throttle body and right where the throttle plate.
